Note: not alkaline, good for low power drain devices Dec 04, 2008
By Eric Verwillow Note that these are zinc carbon batteries not alkaline. These work fine in low current devices like remote controls but for cameras, portable electronics, RC cars, etc. you're better off with alkaline. Wikipedia says "Zinc-carbon batteries are the least expensive primary batteries and thus a popular choice by manufacturers when devices are sold with batteries included. They can be used in remote controls, flashlights, toys, or transistor radios, where the power drain is not too heavy."

acid spillage - will not buy again Jul 19, 2009

We used this in a small non-electronic baby toy, only to have the batteries drained within a week. When I took them out, there appeared to be liquid stain on the batteries that was white and brown. I don't know if the battery acid spilled out, or if it is some other kind of a chemical spill, but I will not be buying these batteries again. It's a good thing the battery slot was not located near where my kid could touch it.

Leaks Jun 14, 2009
By Ironic I didn't think it would happen to me, but sure enough... almost every set of batteries I used had either 1 or 2 that leaked. They also ended up having a shortened life span than I expected. I'm staying away from these and will pay the extra money for quality.
You get what you pay for - cheap and leaky Apr 12, 2011
By pseudo21 These batteries have an incredibly short life and leak noxious fluid to boot. Stay far, far away and pony up for the name brand batteries if you don't want your electronics ruined.
One leaked Aug 31, 2009
By Fred We use these batteries in LED candles for our windows. They seem to last as long as anything else we have used; however, we did have one battery that leaked. Rather messy to clean up, but we did notice it before any real damage to the window sill.
I'm going to try another box of these batteries just because of the cost.
