I have a rear window defroster/antenna in my 93.5 toyota supra. the output from the antenna is smaller than the stereo input. This adapter made that connection possible. Simple plug and plug and play and that is it.

A MUST Jan 24, 2011

I have a 1994 Buick LeSabre and I replaced the stock stereo with something a little more..... loud. But as I under stand all GM vehicles require one of these to hook up the stock antenna to the back of an aftermarket stereo (unless you really want to strip coax inside a dash and do a lot of unneeded work). This was the cheapest one I could find on amazon so I got it. It does stick out of the back some and may make some stereos too long to fit in the dash, I had to "adapt" my dash anyhow to make the stereo fit perfect.

By Mutt Not much to say other than it works as expected. I even get stations I never got with the one it replaced.

By Vinster888 This device is perfect for using with aftermarket radios in many vehicles including my 99 S10. It is small and does not make the radio much deeper than it was to begin with. Plugged in with no hassle and now my SuperTuner can live up to it's name.
Ehhhh.... It did the job... sort of Dec 28, 2011
By John Whiteker I purchased this to aid in the installation of an aftermarket head unit in an older car. This piece did actually do what I needed, once I manipulated it a bit. THe fluted expansion part of the barrel, which holds the adapter into the hole in the head unit was actually not flared out to get a tight fit. I took the unit to the garage and carefully lifted each of the fluted tabs and reinstalled in the head unit. That actually made it stay in the hole. This should have already been done since the piece could easily break if too much pressure was exerted on it. In the end, it worked. I just wish that manufacturing quality were better on stuff like this. I would have paid more for a higher quality unit, but they are hard to find.
