TERRIFIC product to repair my Plantronics Bluetooth headset Nov 29, 2009
By William W. Davis
"famousdavis"
I stupidly left my Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth Headset [Retail Packaging] in my car too long before realizing how the sun and heat were going to expedite the disintegration process of the foam covering of the earpiece. I don't use my Bluetooth earpiece often, so when I did go to use it, the soft foam just crumbled in my hand. I was irritated with myself because I had no idea where to get a replacement foam covering.
I should have remembered all the times Amazon has come to the rescue! When I found this foam replacement set, I was delighted because buying it would address another, nagging problem I've had -- the Plantronics headset picks up any slight breeze and makes it intolerable for the person on the other end of the phone conversation. So, buying this set let me replace the eartip PLUS add a windscreen to the speaker boom, too.
Putting on the eartip cover was tough because it's a TIGHT fit, and you wonder if you're going to tear the eartip in the process (I didn't). Putting on the windscreen on the speaker boom was not as difficult, but it also was a tight fit. I did have the speaker boom windscreen fall off once when I was transporting the headset around in my pocket.
What's really nice is that still have left-over pieces to this set that I can do another repair job in the future (as long as I remember where I stowed these pieces!).
Highly recommended!

Wonderful, did not know this existed Apr 04, 2008
By JustKJ This is a wonderful product. My wife and I both have Plantronic's Voyager BT headsets. The friction ring (little rubber O-Ring) broke on hers and wondered it was covered by a warranty or was it just a lost cause.
I quick internet search brought up this item. For its price we thought we'd give it a try.
First the O-Ring was simple to replace and it fixed her head set. Second mine headset's ring broke about 2 months later (Plantronics, are you listening). I just replaced it with the new ear bud, it had a new ring on it already.
I can not say that I notice a difference between using the included Windscreen "microphone socks". But what the heck, we did not have to buy new headsets.

Does the job Jul 01, 2008
By Ron M. They're just like the OEM ear tips that came with the Voyager 510 BT headset. They come complete w/ the o-rings that keep them snuggly fit into the headset.
The windscreens look kind of questionable to me... I didn't end up using them. They don't replace the mesh screen that's on the microphone boom of the headset, they simply slip over it like a sock. It makes the tip look goofy though, so I decided to leave it off.
Great for replacing your misplaced earbuds. Can't beat the price!

Work great but... May 12, 2007
By Boheeber ...the shipping cost more than the item. Still, very fast delivery and I couldn't locate these locally at all, so a worthwhile purchase.

A Perfect Fit May 24, 2010
By Cody Schatzle There's not much to write about such a simple product -- they're comfortable, come in different sizes, and work exactly as expected.
