Works well, had it installed at bestbuy. I would recommend having a rf modulator installed at the same time so you can listen thru the car stereo.

My Pyle Overhead DVD Player. Jan 27, 2009

No doubt this is a nice, clear and a wide screen dvd player that my daughter enjoys a lot, however, you need an rf modulator installed with it which if you dont have installed along with the dvd would cost you about another $100 to have it put in at best buy.
Another thing to consider when buying this unit, is the size of your car 'cos it can really consume a lot of your ceiling space and you tend to hit your head when getting in the car if you still have it flipped down. I have it installed at best buy for approximately $200. Also my remote control for this unit do either not work or simply do not have batteries in them which I can't seem to open the back of it to check.
It would have been a lot nicer if there's a head phone jack with it also.

Junk, Do not Buy! Dec 13, 2010
By BIGGUN Major disappointment. At first, this unit worked and looked great. However, I ended up purchasing this from Amazon twice.
The first one started with a fuzzy picture (snow) after 2 weeks of use. Fortunately, it was within Amazon's return period. I figured it was a fluke and exchanged it through Amazon for a new one. The second one randomly started skipping through all of our movies and the control adjustment to the audio does not work. Unfortunately, it was not within Amazon's return period and I am now stuck with a faulty piece of junk.
Save yourself time, aggrevation, and money and do not buy. It would be a great unit if the quality was there, but this is a completely unreliable piece of junk.
Do not buy - you have been warned.

By chance 2 play We put this DVD / Monitor in a school activity people mover. The monitor is hand pull dpwn. This is perfect, as kids seem to be tuff on our equipment. EZ to install. The price was great.

Broke, replaced, broke again Dec 20, 2010
By galof This player looked great and had a great price tag so we bought it and had it installed locally. It worked for 1 day and then started making a clicking noise whenever we inserted a dvd. It would then eject it without playing. We sent the product back to amazon who were fabulous about handling the return. They sent us a brand new player. We paid for the new one to be installed and it worked for about a week before it broke. This time the dvd goes in and plays, but the picture is weird. If a person moves at all, you see every frame of their movement displayed on screen. For example, if someone moves their arm from their side up above their head you will see about 10 arms on screen at varying locations from the side to raised above the head. It is impossible to watch. Sometimes we just put the dvd in the machine and close up the screen, so we can listen to a video and avoid a headache. What else are we to do? We are not paying to take this out, return it and reinstall another piece of junk. What seemed inexpensive at first has proven to be expensive and completely useless.
