Great addon to BAR388HGA Oct 13, 2009
By Blinq Product works as expected. From my experience Oregon Scientific Weather Stations are one of the best. The batteries last over a year and they are very accurate. After comparing different brands that people I know had I settled on a Oregon Scientific BAR388HGA and am very satisfied with it. I bought this sensor mainly to monitor the temperature in a second floor room. The sensor is approximately 60 feet away, up one floor and through several wall from the main unit, and it work very well.

Sensor stopped working Jun 01, 2010

Overall decent product and displays. Loved the unit for about three months, then the sensor stopped transmitting. Changed batteries, reset, changed batteries again. No luck except when sensor is within 6 inches of base. Poor sensor makes this worthless.

Works as advertised Dec 07, 2008
By John F. Pacelli I used it for a remote sensor for my basement. If you follow the directions it works fine. I hated the packaging it came in, difficult to open. The Oregon Scientific website does give a list of what weather stations this works with.

Some packaging and design issues. Jan 09, 2009
By Lovin' life in Florida Packaging states batteries are included. They are not.
Screws to remove battery cover are poorly formed and not really phillips heads. Difficult to remove.
Compared to other O/S sensor, temperature is within 0.2F but humidity is about 15% off.
Unit seems to have better ability to transmit info than older model, it replaced.

Wirerless Weather Instrumnents May 15, 2008
By Steve Perry All of the wireless weather gear I have purchased over the last 10 years from Oregon Scientific performed superbly and this sensor is no exception! It is easy to set up, accurate and reasonably priced. It is also fully backwards compatable with older model systems (400 Mh)
