Too hard to open Jan 07, 2006
By NSC It is difficult not to break them when first trying to open them. On the flip side once they have been opened once, they don't reclose very well.

Don't buy jewel cases mail-order. Ever. Apr 03, 2008
By K. Carlson The product itself I can't fault: these are your standard slim jewel cases. But sheesh, do a lot of them arrive broken. Truth is, I've never ordered cases from any supplier (Amazon, newegg, outpost, or wherever) that didn't arrive with at least 10% of the cases cracked or broken. They just don't ship well. If they seem like a good bargain, remember that you'll lose a good percentage of them. And even if the retailer will take them back, it's never worth the bother of returning them.
Add to that the shipping charge, and it starts to look like it makes more sense to buy these at your local office supply store where you can inspect them for breakage before you buy. That has been my experience, anyway.

They're OK Feb 10, 2006
By nhopps Just a note to those who've been having trouble opening these cases, without breaking them. If you use an emory board to slightly sand the top knob which is holding the case together, you'll be able to open and close it ok. Don't sand too much, and just do the top knob, or it won't hold together. I like the fact that these cases are clear and fairly inexpensive, so I wanted to make them work. Hope it works for you.

Affordable and effective Jul 07, 2005

"Needs More Money"
Cheaper than thick CD cases and less prone to breakage, these "slim" cases by Memorex protect your CDs. Most buyers will get them for use in CD or DVD burning, and these are an affordable choice from a quality company for that purpose.
You may want to consider larger cases depending on your tastes, but otherwise these will probably satisfy your needs.
