Perfect Set of Cables for Lightweight Tangle-Free Travel Jan 24, 2011
By Edwin L. Chandler If you need to pack light and don't have the patience for tangled cables, this set is perfect. As you can see, it includes a mini-USB, a micro-USB, and an Apple-specific cable. All three will sync and charge. The entire set weighs next to nothing and takes up almost no space in your bag. For those of us espousing one-bag travel, these are simply the best way to go.
Another advantage of their short length and rigidity is that the cables can't really suffer any wear from being bent around and tied up for storage. I know it sounds unlikely, but I've had my iPhone cable die mid-trip on me before because the cable just gave out from being twisted and bent around so much. Naturally, that can't happen with these. To me, being able to know that my cable is going to work is worth it.
Just to be fair, their short length means that you'll need to be close to whatever it is you're going to plug into. These aren't going to reach from a hotel wall outlet to the table. Rather, these are perfectly designed for connecting your device to a laptop while it's sitting on a desk.

NIFTY (if expensive) Cable Set. May 02, 2011
By P. M. Gross This is a really nifty (all be it expensive) set of connecting cables best recommended for laptops with desk-level USB ports. We use them to connect either a Kindle, Iphone or Garmin to our laptop (each uses a different cable) and we understand they will also work with a Blackberry and similar products with standard connectors.
Measuring less than 3 3/4 inches including the connectors on both ends, these cables are light, seem well-constructed, take up virtually no storage space, do not tangle, and CAN be given a "1/2 twist" to insure that the connected item lies face-up.
Recommended.

I LOVE THESE iPHONE 4 CABLES!!! Jun 13, 2011
By c0nspire I had been looking for something short, tough and that wouldn't tangle. These cables were PERFECT! It will sync and charge my iPhone 4. I haven't used the other included USB cables yet, but I have no reason to believe they won't work just as well.

Perfect for compact Backup Feb 22, 2012

I have now bought 2 sets of these to keep one with each of my laptops and I couldn't be happier. These take next to no space but allow me to sync and charge everything I own. Finally, if you need longer cables you can simply carry one USB 2.0 extension cable and use it with whatever cable you are using at the time.
Pros: - Tiny - Appropriately flexible: not as flexible as a normal cable, but not completely rigid either - Complete: syncs/ charges nearly every modern device that exists - iphone, android phone, ipad, kindle, hard drive, etc. - Heavy Duty: these should outlast any of my regular cables
Cons: - Short (for obvious reasons) - USB 2.0 (adequate, but not future proof)
Conclusion: I can't think of a better solution to have every cable I could possibly need in such a small package. I highly recommend these to anyone who travels, or even just transports a laptop to and from work or school and wants to be prepared.

(Relatively) Pricey But Worth It Feb 14, 2012
By Anthony Chang 4.5 Stars
I absolutely love these cables as they are short, sweet, and sturdy. I won't really repeat what other reviewers have said other than the fact that these cables are great for travels and fits great in the (middle) zipper pouch of the AmazonBasics Universal Travel Case for Small Electronics and Accessories (Black).
+Charge and Sync My main concern when buying these was that they had to no only charge but also sync for android (as some of the retractable cables do not sync). I am happy to report that these cables both charge (via outlet and computer) and syncs flawlessly for both android and apple (as expected) - I have had no problem using the MircoUSB with android phones, the Mini-USB with a 2.5inch hdd, and the Apple cable with the iTouch and iPhone.
-Upside Down MicroUSB Cable The only thing preventing these cables from getting a perfect rating is the fact that the MicroUSB cable is "upside down" - meaning that the phone's screen is facing the table thus requiring that you bend the cable almost in half to see the screen.
