inexpensive, but you get what you pay for Jun 22, 2005
By N. A. Murphy I ended up having a lot of trouble with skipping when using this boombox, especially when using burnt CDs. It also lacks a lot of features such as bass boost or a programmable play sequence. The sound is mediocre, but adequate. I'd recommend spending an extra $10-$20 and getting a better model.

where is the power cord? Dec 30, 2005
By Laurel Harrington

This thing is sold without a power cord. The fine folks at Coby told me it was only for battery operation. It takes 8 C batteries! I had to pay an additional $9.99 to get a power cord from Coby.

You get what you pay for! Jan 29, 2006

We purchased this product specifically for the repeat function. We play CDs at night for our children. We purchased one, and the repeat function stopped working within the first 30 days. We exchanged it for another, and after two months, the repeat function no longer works. It also will not play the CDs any longer. We are so unhappy with our purchase - don't waste your money!

Easy to use Aug 18, 2005
By E. Davis I bought this as a gift for my 81 year old mother who lives 1200 miles away. I needed something that she could unpack, understand the directions, and operate herself. She did all of these things and is very happy with this "Boom Box".

The cord is in the battery compartment. May 15, 2006

The other reviews indicate that the cord is not with the boombox. I called the company and they tell me it is in the battery compartment.
