This is the second Cobra of this model we have had. It is used quite intensely throughout everyday of the week and gets worked over pretty good. It has been a great radio for us and know this second one will perform in kind.

Typical CB. Typical functions. It works as advertised. I bought this radio primarily for use in a company van. It is set up to be installed, and removed in under a minute. I don't have to leave it in when I'm not driving.
The transmitter works fine with good audio reports using the stock mic. The receive is good, also. The RF gain control is a nice feature to limit the "junk" coming in that I don't need or want to hear. The received audio is tinny and weak. It could use a better speaker with some bass. What kept me from giving this radio 5 stars? The horrible built in speaker and a lack of an automatic noise limiter.
Personally I feel the Instant CH 9 / Normal is a waste of time along with the PA option.
Just my .2 cents worth.

Cobra has been a good brand name in CB's for years It was eazly installed . Amazon 's price was best that I had found and was very impressed with the customer service received at Amazon. I have had limited use as primary use was to be for use on road while traveling so far have not taken trip to use and local activity is very low for use would recomend Cobra
