2The slim batteries that I got form Amazon don't fit!!  Mar 10, 2008
By Eric C. Cowan
The PSP Slim Charger Wall Mount 2-In-1 doesn't fit well with the slim batteries that I bought from Amazon. It still charges and it works, but it clearly wasn't designed to go together.

1P.O.S. PLEASE READ!!  Apr 03, 2010
By Jason T. Knowles
This changer is the biggest piece of junk I have ever bought it didn't work the first time I used it and it took a knife to pry my battery back out if it. I even tried modding the little P.O.S. and it still did not work. Buy the official Sony changer and you will be much better off. GARBAGE DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!!!!!!

3Does the job more or less, but worth a buy  Dec 02, 2008
By Michael Ware
Eric Cowan's review is correct. I don't know what PSP batteries this product was designed for, but it wasn't the one that comes with the new PSP 3000. He is also correct that it will get the job done. The best method I found was to seat the end of the battery with the connectors fully into the charger and then ease the other end of the battery in until good contact is achieved and the battery stays in place. Avoid seating the entire battery fully into the cavity because it is difficult to remove! (requires prying out the bottom of the battery)

The product gets three stars because it beats the Sony charger that comes with the PSP (which no longer plugs directly into the wall, but has a cord to the adapter and then another cord to the PSP).

The real gem with this product is the included retractable cable. The product image shows a USB "A" connector on one end and the power connector on the other. The cable I got had the "A" on one end but the other end sported the power connector and a USB "B" which means the one cable can be used to transfer data to the PSP (or any other USB A/B device) and be used to charge the unit. Only one cable to carry around! Similar cables sell elsewhere but are pricey so this product becomes a real bargain.

***Update*** 12/4 Used my workaround to charge the battery for my PSP 3000 and it will no longer be recognized by the PSP. Either it fried the battery or it tweaked the connecting pins (though they look ok).

Bottom line: Not recommended for use with the PSP 3000 battery!
