I wanted to give this things at least two stars...but for the life of me I couldn't see how!
Let's start with the most important feature of this PSP I.Sound Theater..the speakers and the sound they produce, or at least try and produce. If you care at ALL about quality sound for games, music and movies, this is NOT THE ONE TO BUY! The sound coming out of these speakers are much like that of a PC speaker....one word, HORRIBLE. Flat with zero highs and zero lows. Almost like talking through a tin can. OK, I'm sure you get the idea now.
The second most important feature, in my opinion, is the wireless remote. How cool is that thing right? WRONG! It's basically useless if you ask me. It did control the volume...but I"m not sure what the other buttons do? because they sure didn't do anything for me while watching movies, etc.
Anyway, don't waste your time with this thing. Unless all you care about getting are speakers that are louder then what's on your PSP...this thing will do that for sure. It will also sound horrible while doing it.
too bad, it's a nice design and setup gone horribly wrong.

I bought this accessory for use with my PSP 3000, and I have a warning, as nice an item as this is, right out of the box, it will not work as shown in the picture with a PSP 3000 without modification. I had to use the external cable that came with it to try it out for the first time and was very pleased with it's sound, but my psp didn't fit inside yhe unit, as the flip up plug would not fit my psp and was in the way to get my psp to fit properly. I took care of this problem by modifing it. I first had to remove the back to get inside the unit and release the spring loaded plug, that is suppose to plug into your psp for sound and remote. Now I have the plug so it is free floating so that it can be pulled out of its hole and pluged into a PSP. However this unit evedently was designed for an older model PSP, not the PSP 3000, so the plug won't fit. But I have it to where my PSP 3000 fits very neatly into the unit, by tucking the plug down out of sight. The only problem now, is that I have to use an external plug to get sound, and I can't use the remote. The plug that I had to modify doesn't fit my PSP. The sound through the external jack is quit good however for size of the speakers, top notch in fact, and I have it so it looks good. Fits in the unit just like the picture on the box it came in. I'm going to keep fiddling with it thou and see if I can modify the plug to fit and I think I can so long as the shaft on the plug is the same size as the receptical in my PSP 3000.

The sound quality is actually pretty good. The remote controls the volume as well as fast forward, reverse and pause.
The only drawback is that the speakers make it difficult to reach the PSP's power switch. The right speaker has to be slid away to gain access to the switch and if your finger isn't too big, you can turn the PSP on or off. Otherwise, you have to remove the PSP from the dock to switch it on or off.
For the price, the speakers are a good buy.

I recently purchased a PSP I sound theatre system for my Nephew who also purchase a new PSP. The PSP does not fit properly at all unto the speaker and i don't know how to contact Amazon about the problem or to return the speaker. Can someone who purchase this already tell me whether it fitted of have the same problem. Please be careful with purchasing this.But the price is excellent.
