5Feels sturdy, great bang for the buck  Feb 02, 2010
By Roffi
I provide technical support for broadway shows, we put together some serious mind boggling FX playback systems, 10s of thousands of watts amps/speaker and $250,000+ audio mixing consoles....that being said, I'm pleased with this wireless and wired PA system by Pyle. Wife needed a low cost PA for her volunteer group, some persons in the back of the room could't hear the person speaking in the front. This was in their budget. Told her the best for them was not to leave this upfront and blast people in the front row (it can blast loud enough if need be) but since it is wireless, leave it in the back of the room as a fill for those not close up front by the person talking. The people up front can hear spoken word fine, this unit fills the back of the room nicely ;o). Nice to have a wired mic with it also just in case batteries go bad on wireless. You can use both at same time, they have their own controls. Rear rejection on both mics is good, this way most sounds from other than the person speaking into mic do not get into mic. Also has an auxilary input for music (would be mono of course). Other than that...time will tell how it holds up to long term use.

5Pyle 100-Watt PA System  Mar 03, 2008
By F. L. Lamrouex "Lamrouex"
The Pyle 100-Watt PA System is truly compact and portable. It operates off its own battery, so charge it up before you use it. I don't know how long the battery will power the unit, but I use it at a poetry venue at a Barnes and Noble which lasts two hours, and the unit worked flawlessly the entire time. For the medium-to-small venue area (four rows of five chairs plus additional seating), the PA System was turned up to maximum volume, but did an above-average job in filling the area with sound. Poets we had not been able to hear before (because they fail to project) were heard clearly for the first time. For such a small, easily carried unit, it delivers more sound than you would expect.

4PYLE MINI PA  Apr 25, 2010
By D. Morse
This is an impressive little unit for the price. I have not had time to audition the PWM-A600 in an actual meeting situation but I like the features and size. It offers both a wired and wireless microphone, the latter must be held about an inch from your lips which limits the system from picking up any other sound other than the speaker's voice. Otherwise my only reservation is that it doesn't have a great deal of volume though it boasts 100-Watt total output. There doesn't appear to be an allowance for an additional speaker either, so I would not recommend the A600 for large rooms or audiences but fine for meetings of up to about 70 people or so.

4Great for the Price  Jul 21, 2008
By Ramon U.
This product came with more extras than I expected. It has both a wireless and a corded mic. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the volume does not go as high as I would like. It would also be nice if you had the option of either plugging it in or using the rechargeable battery. You can't beat this product for the price, especially since you could spend hundreds more on a more powerful system bought at a music or specialty store. It should be noted that this is a compact system which could be described as miniature. It can fit in a regular-sized paper grocery-bag.

5Pretty happy with it.  Mar 12, 2010
By John Ergle
I'm a Cubmaster for my son's Cub Scout pack. We have pack meetings in our school cafeteria, which means I have to be heard over the noise of several refridgerators and vending machines, not to mention the noise of 30+ cub scouts! I have a pretty soft voice, so by the end of our meetings, sometimes I was hoarse from yelling! The PA system was just what we needed. I've only used it once, but several parents commented how much easier it was to hear me, and I could talk in a normal voice. I like the fact that it has both corded and cordless microphones, because I can keep one, and the boys can use the other one to make presentations so they can be heard as well. My only minor complaint is with the cordless mike, you have to talk directly in the the end of the microphone for it to pick up - you can't just hold it close to your mouth. One day we may try to get a wireless lapel mike to make it more "hands-free", but for now, it works great.
