1Good Looking, but worthless  Apr 08, 2005
By Rüdiger
This is a nice looking weatherstation with lots of features.
Unfortunately it could not link with the atomic clock, although I am within half of the range - even outdoors.
Also, the humidity indication is woefully inaccurate. The base unit indicated 13%, the remote unit showed 22%, while my calibrated hygrometer measured 36%. I do not have a calibrated thermometer, but at least both showed (nearly) the same temperature.
In summation, it's a nice looking thing, but inaccurate; and for that it is a bit pricy.
Finally, for those who care: although the device can be switched to french & german languages, it does not have a 24 hour clock mode.

4Good if you get it cheap  Feb 07, 2007
By J. Li
I got it cheap during one of those Friday sales and I got it for my parents. It has been 3 weeks now and I am pretty happy with it.

It looks pretty good. So I can put it just about anywhere without shame. The setup was pretty painless. But I did not have the patience to try out the auto/time. It did not seem to work as there may be weak radio signal at our place. The weather report/forecast seems to be accurate, so is the temperate readout.

Good little gadget, me thinks.

3Good product idea, bad design for wall mount  Oct 08, 2007
By Andrew Ma "Rabid consumer"
I bought this to replace another oregon scientific unit that was dropped and broken. This one has more features, but the small lcd screens make it horrible for wall placement unless you have the best eagle eyes in the world. The outdoor unit does seem pretty water resistant as it sits in the rain a bit.

The thermometer in the main unit is spot on but the outdoor unit seems to read a bit too cold (ie. lower than it really is). My transmission distance is about 15 feet through a rock wall and has always been good. I've been going on 5 months on the same batteries, and no replacements needed yet. I have not tested the range to it's limits, but I have tried 30 feet through the rock wall and it still worked.

the curved plastic of the unit makes it sit pretty far from the wall too unlike the old flush units. I find this a decent value for the cheap price, but I'd say to spend more for a larger and more readable screen from across the room.

4Everything good but the display is too small  May 21, 2007
By Ribbery
No complain since it does its job as a weather station showing indoor, outdoor temperature and humidity and giving forecast. One possible improvement is the display of the atomic clock is small, I cannot get the time from a distance.

By Kathlen A. Johnson
While it worked, it was great. Unfortunately, remote sensor only lasted 6 months.
