Very nice for home studio recording. Feb 09, 2005

I use this with a PreSonus TubePre Preamp feeding into a Fostex MR-8 digital mixer/recorder. Excellent condenser quality. I've also used the Sure SM58 dynamic mic for home studio recording but prefer the Nady SCM-900 and use it for > 90% of my projects. No problems with 1 year of use.

I bought two of these to try out as "front of house" mics for recording larger ensembles (big bands, orchestras). They work best if you engage the bass roll-off switch, (unscrew the casing and press the blue switch). I've recorded acoustic piano, big band horn section and used them as drum overheads and got great results every time!
I plan on buying at least another pair of these along with the shock mounts. They are not Nueman U87As but they also don't cost $3000!
Highly recommended for those wanting to expand their mic cabinet without breaking the bank. I have yet to try them on acoustic bass or amp micing, but I am curious to how well they might do.

Super mic and for the price, you can't go wrong. Well built and good tone, just an all around good mic.
