5At last I found it!  Mar 20, 2006
By "Bear"
I recently purchased a Yamaha PA-5D Power Adaptor for my keyboard and it works perfectly. My keyboard is an older model and after much searching I found the new product that would make my keys play again. I am satisfied that this power adaptor is the best for my use.

5PA-5D Adapter THE RIGHT Replacement for the Yamaha RX-7  Jan 30, 2007
By William B. Christman "Recording Engineer"
It still amazes me how people somehow do not have the power adapter when selling a unit that requires one! How can you not have or lose a vital part of an electronic unit such as it's power supply?? Anyway, I recently purchased on ebay a Yamaha RX-7 as a back up for mine which I have been using since 1988. You guessed it, the seller did not have the original AC adapter which was the PA-1210. Instead he sent with a much smaller adapter claiming it worked fine with the RX-7. Yeah, the unit turned on and made some sounds, but it could not FULLY function properly. After unsuccessfully locating a PA-1210 (no longer made), I contacted Yamaha support and finally talked to one guy who has been there for MANY years. He researched the proplem and instructed me to purchase the newer PA-5D AC Adapter. I looked on line and got a decent deal . It WORKS PERFECTLY!! I was also told to not use the next one up because it has a 2 amp rating. The Original PA-1210 was only 1 amp. Though many "know it all" experts working in a certain MEGA music store tried desperately to sell me a SUPER HIGH priced "NO NAME-made in China" replacement adapter, I was again advised by the wise man at Yamaha that the SUPER HIGH priced adapter was 2 amp and I should avoid that. I have been using the PA-5D reguraly now for over 8 months with my RX-7 Rhythm Programmer (DRUM MACHINE) and ALL IS PERFECT!! THE Yamaha PA-5D IS the RIGHT and PROPER REPLACEMENT for the old PA-1210 adapter!!

1DO NOT BUY! seller ships "equivalent" product instead of PA-5D  Nov 27, 2011
By D. Sangster "LilDougieFresh"
WARNING! The seller is NOT selling a PA-5D but the PA-150Yamaha PA150MM Keyboard AC Power Adapter. Yamaha says the PA-150 replaced the PA-5D so it should work. However Imagine-This also sells the PA-150 for $14.89 so he's just trying to rip people off. Sleezy way of doing business. I wouldn't have been quite as disappointed but its cord is shorter than the PA-5D and the price difference. Seller imagine-this didn't refund shipping. The PA-5D however is a good power bar, it served me well for years and many many trips between my house and church before it broke.

1OK but disappointed  Dec 04, 2010

Unfortunately I am unable to review this product since what I received was the Yamaha PA-150, a product I didn't order! I am living overseas so it was important to have the PA-5D adapter, which would work with the voltage here. Now I need to connect to a transformer first, bother. As I ordered this for a group of African musicians and not myself it would have really been nice to have the PA-5D.
That said, the PA-150 does function with the Yamaha PSR 225 keyboard that it is being used with so that is good. I just hope someone doesn't come along and plug it into a 220v socket and burn it up.
