1Not even the same spec as the official nintendo one  Jul 14, 2005
By A. A. Neuschwander "Tweaker"
Long story short: DON'T BUY THIS ADAPTER, IT WILL FRUSTRATE YOU.

The Intec brand gamecube power adapter has different specs than the official nintendo one. The official adapter provides 3.25amps of DC output. The Intec one is only rated for 2.75amps. Becuase the Intec ones doesn't provide sufficient power, sometimes the gamecube won't spin up your game disk. Especially after playing for a long time and then changing disks. This is probably due to the power adapter warming up (as all power adapters do). The annoying part is that it seems you can only get the nintendo branded adapter from [...]. Oh well.

1Stops working  Apr 30, 2005
By M. Harris
I bought this adapter thinking it would answer my problems. It did, but only for a couple of months. Just stopped working like the nintendo one did.

5Does exactly what it should...  Apr 07, 2004
By Jonathan
This is the same AC Adapter that comes with the 'cube so you only need it if yours died or was damaged...

It gets it's job done just fine. Perhaps even a little better then most due to the fact that the box is in the middle of the cord and not on the plug end. This makes it much more convient, since it takes up less space on powerstrips and wall sockets.

4equipment  Jan 21, 2010

When purchasing this product I was skeptical if it would work on my console. So far I have not been too disappointed by it's performance. It works well on my gaming console and has had only one minor fault. The only fault is the grounding end of the plug, which can become loose when plugged into an outlet. Overall very pleased with this product.

I bought this for my great grandson and he said the adapter worked quite well with his game cube.
